Having already had 22 years of experience in the hospitality business with Eastern Airlines, Sharon Vrahatis kicked off a new venture as the owner and manager of Cross Creek Cafe in 1997. And ever since Cross Creek Cafe has been her life and passion. When you visit you will likely be greeted by her or see her wandering the cafe making sure things are running smoothly. She and her staff not only run a restaurant and bar but host private events in the two adjoining banquet rooms. For the regulars she quickly becomes more than a host but a friend. It is her desire that each guest feel at home and a part of the local community, and because of that there is a large group of regulars that have been coming to Cross Creek for years!

The community known as Cross Creek was the vision of Tom Cousins of Cousins Properties. It was started by him in 1968 on 122 acres adjacent to I-75 between the Moores Mill and Howell Mill Rd exits. It was planned to have a country club atmosphere with a 18 hole par 3 golf course, tennis courts, lakes, and a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant. Later Cross Creek apartments would be converted to condos as they continue to exist to this day. The golf clubhouse, which houses the Cross Creek Cafe sits just out side the gates of the community, and is open to the public.
